Panthera onca


The jaguar (Panthera onca), also known as "el tigre", "frijolillo", and "tigre leon", can reach 100-250 pounds when mature. They live in the forest, marshes, shrublands, and grasslands. They are carnivorous and feed on rodents, pecearies, deer, birds, fish, armadillos, turtles, and crocodiles.
