The fox is a mammal. The fox is a part of the dog family. Its relatives are coyotes and wolves. It eats small birds, small fish and eggs. It weighs 3-20 pounds (1-9 kg). The fox lives near the city. Its life span is 6 years in the wild and 12 in captivity. One giant of the species weighed in at 16 3/4 pounds. by Chris
