The common snapping turtle lives at the bottom of muddy ponds. It weighs twenty to thirty pounds. Adults are eighteen inches long or more. Its giant relative, the alligator snapper weighs near one hundred and fifty pounds. It eats baby fish, frogs and small ducks and geese. by Jamie
