The black widow spider is a predator. It eats insects. It makes a web and the insects fly or crawl in the web and get stuck. The spider wraps the insect up in web stuff and eats it.
The spider is an arachnid. An arachnid is a thing with eight legs.
The black widow spider can be found in warm climates, in barns and trash and on farms.
