drawing by Joe

The red-backed salamander lives under leaf mold and rotted logs. This animal lives on land. The red-backed salamander digs down in the dirt to protect itself. The female redbacked salamander remains on guard over her eggs. This animal looks like a lizard but it is not. -Joe
