The most peculiar thing I noticed about the snow monkey while I was at the zoo was their playing behavior. One snow monkey got on top of a high rock and the other stood on top of a log. All of a sudden the monkey on top of the rock started to make very high jumps so you could hear its feet hit the ground The other put his arms around the log in a hugging position and started to shake it. They started to make a beat. After a while they stopped and went away. I thought this was interesting because I really didn't expect it. I also never thought that monkeys were capable of doing that. I think they did it just because they are playful.
