K-1 Bat Research

These are some things we found out about bats.

Some bats find their food by echolocation. Echolocation works by bouncing sound off of things. Bats have long ears for echolocation. Bats with long ears eat insects.

Vampire bats drink blood. Some bats eat fruit. Bats like to eat fruit, fish, and mosquitoes.

Bats sleep in the daytime. Bats hang upside down. Bats hunt at night.

All bats can see. Bats can see in the dark.

Bats are the only mammals that can fly. Bat wings are made of skin. There are one thousand different kinds of bats. The flying fox is the biggest bat.

Some bats live in trees. Some bats live in caves.
